Our original plan was to hike up to Madison, stay a night then cross the Presidential Range over to Mt Washington. We made it up to Madison in the rain then woke up to gusting winds of 70-90mph, Rain and lightning.
We ended up going back down the mountain and going home. I guess you can call us wimps but at least a park ranger and others all told us not to do it. 🙂 We are just smart…. lol
They are not kidding about the “World’s Worst Weather”! It will be hot and sunny one minute, then cold and hurrican conditions (sometimes even worse) the next minute!
