Beach vacation 2010!
Published in UncategorizedAfter a week in San Fran for the annual Apple World Wide Developers conference it’s time to decompress at the beach!
Today was our 1st day at the Beach and of course I had to play with my new iPhone 4 and iMovie!
Nothing special, just used the built in themes and music.
Im very impressed at how a handheld device can record 720p Video, edit it and upload it!
(Although I found out that you cannot post the HD version without a computer, I hope they fix this)
This was created 100% on my iPhone.

To disable balloon tips in the notification area, follow these steps:
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
Locate the following subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
Right-click the right side pane, create a new DWORD value, and then name it EnableBalloonTips.
Double-click EnableBalloonTips, and then give it a value of 0.
Close Registry Editor.
Log off Windows, and then log back on.

Apple app store is getting too expensive.
Published in UncategorizedSince the release of the iPad most developers are charing more for their Applications.
I don’t really have a problem with developers wanting to charge what they want but without a refund policy I have been stuck with Applications that does not work properly as advertised.
Maybe an automatic trial period for all App store purchase would work. 24hrs, if you delete it during the 24hr period then you don’t get charged… something like that would be ideal and Apple would not have to manage a “refund” policy.

iPhone 3G back to “original” performance!
Published in UncategorizedMy iPhone 3G 16gb has become very slow and sluggish even after multiple full restores and DFU restores.
I figure it was just the OS becoming more complicated, especially after installing iPhone OS 4 Beta 1 it became REALLY sluggish.
After going through the phones console and logs I noticed it still had log entries from 2008!
I deleted all of the logs and now the phone is FAST!

Quick NY trip (kind of..)
Published in UncategorizedI went down to visit my Parents and starting to plan out moving my father’s office from the 3rd floor to the 13th floor. The new space is twice the size.
Of course I was there during a HUGE rain and wind storm.
It caused tons of damage all over NY and CT.
A tree fell on our neighbors house and we lost power for over 2 days.
Thankfully Matt was able to bring us a generator from CT to keep some things powered in the house. Most importantly the sump pump in the basement and refrigerator. Of course it was nice to have FIOS and TV working too 
We got through the 1st night charging up all of our essentials in the car
