So A quick and boring update of what has been going on since my last “ass explosion”!

Becky is brewing a baby and everything looks good!
We will have another ultrasound soon and I hope to get video this time!

Spring is here but I dont see it… and we are supposed to get snow soon? WTF

For some reason, my laptops 160gb hard drive decided to die. ITS ONLY 1 month old!
The drive is at work chugging away extracting data off of it. From what I have seen so far I have not lost anything critical. Tomorrows project: install new 160gb drive (different brand), load OS X then migrate everything over from the recovered data disk.
I cant wait till Leopard (10.5) comes out… with Time Machine, full time and real time backup for your computer. I wonder how much a “tech-guy” would charge for a service like this.
Lets see:
Removal of broken hd
Data extraction of broken hd
install new hd
re-install OS
migrate all user data and setting.
damn, might as well buy a new computer! LOL

I dont know how public this is but a friend got a job in Boston!
She will be working in some important department making important department salary :)

Hmmm what else… oh yeah Becky and I had a “disagreement” on some layout issues for the new baby’s room. She is insisting on a certain design… ok BUT she agreed to let ME have MY way for whatever next disagreement we have. OK! We Disagree if we should find out the sex…. I would like to use my “I get my way” card! I would like to know the sex of our baby at the next ultrasound!

Lets see if Becky will hold up on her agreement!

I think I got that stupid stomach bug that is making its rounds in Boston, I have a suspicion where I got it… but I will leave that out.

I love working from home, or staying home in general… but not like this. I can’t wait to get back into the office.

Stomach bug continues to take a toll

Miserable with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea? You have plenty of company.

Boston continues to be mired in an outbreak of gastrointestinal illness, with the latest figures from a disease tracking system showing that emergency room visits reached peak levels in February.

About 800 people showed up in ERs complaining of gastrointestinal woes the week of Feb. 3 as well as the week of Feb. 10, according to the system, run by the Boston Public Health Commission. A similar wave of suffering appears to be sweeping the city this week. That’s more than double the number of patients seen, for example, the week of Dec. 9.

“We’re seeing what we’ve seen now for a number of weeks, which is illness in all age groups,” said Dr. Anita Barry, director of communicable disease control for the city. While the illness has left some patients severely dehydrated, no Boston patients have suffered serious long-term consequences as a result of the infection, Barry said.

Disease trackers suspect that the culprit in the outbreak is norovirus. The best way to prevent catching the illness is thorough hand-washing, both to prevent contracting the disease from other people and to make sure that if you’re infected, you don’t give it to someone else.

The Dr said we can find out the sex next time… I want to know but Becky does not… WHO WILL WIN! FIND OUT SOON! HA HA HA.

(well of course the baby, but that does not happen for a few months)
Yes I am over 30 but Becky will turn 30 on the 13th.
What does she get for a Birthday gift??
Jewelry? Bowling Ball? Another iPod??? NOOOOOOOO
That’s right! A NEW COUCH! As strange as it sounds, she is crazy excited about it! And I don’t think I could ever top what Becky did for my 30th party… this will do. HA HA HA.

SO, today I spent 4hrs disassembling my command center for transport to the other side of the living room.. Cleaning, rewiring, snaking wires into the basement…all on a VERY important timeline.. 9PM! So I can watch Heroes!
8:55pm… the last plug was plugged and all that needed to be done was a final acoustical setup.

Everything sounds great! and somehow I always end up with a good 25% less wires than before. Once the couch is installed (Thursday) I can finish my mega home-entertainment setup… I still need to find a good place for my 600w SubWoofer. Becky still does not realize how speakers MUST be placed in relation to the monitor or projector screen! and how furniture placement will alter the sound.. uuggh girls.. “It all sounds the same to me” lol

A memorial will be held at the Ashihara’s this weekend for the old couch, she has given us 10 years of service…lots and lots and lots and lots of service. But will move on to a new adventure in PA as the official couch of Bill’s new Recording studio! Where im sure it will see LOTS of action.

My two favorite drivers crashed but the race was still amazing.
Becky and I were going nuts watching the last lap of the race wanting Mark Martin(01) to win… but Kevin Harvick(29) whipped around and won by a few feet! Just amazing!

Becky is also happy that Daytona is over, since I have been watching nothing but NASCAR stuff all week LOL.
