The last day for WWDC for me.
More sessions…usual stuff.
I was able to meet up with a family friend (Ken) for lunch!
(His parents were at our party in Japan just a few weeks ago)
It’s been a good 8 (I think) years since I have seen him! I helped him start his college life in Boston since his parents lived half way around the world my parents asked if I could help him out… no big deal, I picked him up from the airport, let him stay with me for a week or so before he was able to move into his dorm room.
I never really thought of it as anything but helping out a friend, but he was VERY appreciative that I was willing to help him out…. Now that I think about it, it must have been very intimidating to blindly go to a new city without knowing anyone.
Meeting up with Ken was my favorite part of this trip.
Unfortunately I was not able to get a picture of us, just never thought about it.
Ken is in a band in San Francisco now, check out his bands site!

Tonight was also Apple’s WWDC Party, unlike before they held it at the Yerba Buena Gardens just down the street from the Moscone Convention Center. At first I was kind of disappointed that we were not going to Apple’s campus but now I can say this was a better party. The venue was nice, weather was perfect and not having to travel 45min away was great! Food was great but I did not recognize the band this year but they were kick ass!

Hey Ichiro!
It was good seeing you while you were in San Francisco. Thanks for the plug of my band’s website. Hope is all is well!

Hey! I was at the same party and wrote about it in my blog, too. 🙂

Well, it’s German … Any my photos are far worse than yours. That’s mainly because I just had my mobile with me and not my digital camera.
Anyway. It was my very first WWDC and my very first USA trip, too. It was absolutley amazing and I’ll never ever forget!
And Ozomatli was superb!! I made a few videos of their performance and love to watch them every now and then. 😉
Take care,
Stefan.
