While we were over in Japan we were each hogging the laptop, either processing the hundereds of photographs, doing small video editing and of course, blogging our day.

Today it realised to me that sure the Japan trip was intersting to Blog, but what about the rest of the time… a blog every 2-3 weeks? is my life that boring? 😉

Nahhh. im gonna try to make this a nightly event. Just a simple goal.
Shit, I better really do this or Im a total dududu.

I’ll go few days back , since this is now a Daily blog… i Need to fill some holes.

This past weekend there was an emergency with the family, we had to drive to CT (Becky’s family) house. Im not going to write much about that until I know more

Ok, so now I feel 32.9 years old.
Today is day 1.5 days back in the United states… as much as I try to cheat global flight jet lag it’s almost impossible. I figure it will take a good 3 days before im back to normal.

My body thinks its 1:30pm and I was planning on going to work tomorrow but we will see about that.

Hi All!

Another great day in Japan with my new wife and parents!
Today was more of a family day, we visited the Ashihara Plot which every Ashihara from my great grandfather “lives”.. it was my first visit since my grandmother died a few years ago.

After a somber morning we turned into hard core tourists lol!
Went shopping and visited Meiji Shrine (Click here for more info) which is located in the middle of the city. Even with the loud city, all you could hear was nature… it was very peaceful.

Other Miscellaneous things from today: 🙂
Becky LOVES the heated mirror in the hotel bathroom (I love the heated toilet seat! LOL)

We NEED to have these notices in our Subway system:

“Don’t take so much room!!!!”

This sign was at each end of every subway train, that area was reserved for “NO CELLPHONE”… I thought that was GREAT!

Whew! Our reception party was today and it was just amazing.
What really amazed me was how many of my relitives spoke English!
As always my parents surprised me with how big our family is, I don’t really see them too often and in my perspective I just see my parents and now Becky’s family on a regular basis. But here there are SO many people!

We did not take too many pictures but my relitives did (stereotype? LOL) I will be getting CD’s full of pictures, they will be posted at some point.

We were also honored to have Mr.K show up at our party, he is the creator of the Nissan Z car (and the reason Nissan is in the United States), he gave us a very nice speech and gift.

We also got a very nice Family Tree, now we can finally figure out how the Ashihara family works. ha ha ha. It really was one of the nicest gifts ever.
I will post a picture of it later here….

I can’t thank my Parents enough for this amazing day (and whole trip!)

Here we are!
After a short flight from NY to DC (40min)

Then our long flight from DC to Japan (13.5hr)!

I have a feeling I have spoiled Becky with this trip… the flight was just amazing.
It has been a very long time since I have flown Business Class, and this is NOTHING like I remember it… The food was restaurant quality, multiple courses and even food on demand! Now I understand why people go so crazy trying to rack up those frequent flier miles…you can now add me to the list. lol.

On our first day in Tokyo (1st full day) we are still recovering from the trip over here.
We went to a typical Japanese market, its kind of like a full mall condescend into a store about the size of a large multi-floor supermarket. You can buy almost anything.
I don’t have any pictures from today but im sure ill have way too many pictures in the next week. Im very happy my parents are with us because I would have no idea what to do here, yes I am Japanese in decent but its very difficult when you “look” Japanese but can’t speak fluently or read Japanese. Becky and I will be taking classes very soon.

BTW, Skype is great! I discovered that you can skype-out to any toll free phone number! Which came in very handy since I forgot to call my credit card companies to inform them of my travel plans (very important if you don’t want your credit card to get denied while overseas). Using the hotel or any telephone to call another country is crazy expensive.

We had to let Haley go off to the other side today.
She was 14ish years old and I hope had a good life with us after her life at MIT as a lab dog.

We were with her when she died, it was very peaceful but so sad.
I don’t really show that much emotion but this was too much. 🙁

She died of Kidney failure and an enlarged heart.
We will miss you!

I cannot belive that it has been 1 Year since we got married! AND! we are still celebrating.
Next weekend we will be having our 3rd reception, this time in Japan!
I found (stole) these pictures claiming this is what ANA Airline’s Business Class is.
I HOPE SO!!! If all goes well we will be flying Business Class on a Boeing 777

Since I am a Geek, im sure I will be bloggin from Japan…. I love the internet.

For our Anaversary Becky took me to the Melting Pot.. what a fun place.
I defiently reccomend it

AND!!! She got me a Black 80GB iPod! I have not had a big iPod forever!
I have been using 2 shuffles, now I will have everything 🙂
I can’t even use the full 80gb since my Laptop only have a 160gb drive, eventually I will setup a home computer with a few Terabytes 🙂

Im not very good at this stuff so of course, I forgot to get a card and gift… I reealy need to get better at thing, I guess I should say “Card and Gift” in my Palm Pilot… lol

For our 1st Anaversary we spend the day at the Animal Hospital for Haley, our old dog.
She has been peeing in her cage and not eating in the past few days.
After $820 of testing, we now know she has an enlarged heart and a bad murmer, possibly failing kidneys but best case senareo just a REALLY bad case of UTI. We can treat the UTI but if her Kidneys are going bad we are thinking about letting her go visit Kritter (past cat).

Of course ALL of this has to happen when we are trying to save some cash (baby), going to Japan next week (Don’t think about breaking into our house, we have a house sitter and attack cats… they will mess you up! 🙂 )
